Our creative review of Toolstation’s social activities turned up all sorts of interesting insights. But one thing above all seemed to really get their fans liking – humour. That insight – combined with our intricate knowledge of Facebook – helped us to create something their followers would love. The Toolstation April Fools video.

We used April Fools Day to launch the new ‘Multi-Tool’ – a completely impractical (but still a little believable), oversized Swiss Army style tool. We created a short film to promote the tool, and for Toolstation followers, it hit the nail on the head. 36,500 views and a reach of 183,000 in a day. Serious numbers for a bit of fun.
